Vicki Mealer-Burke

VICKI MEALER-BURKE was appointed as Qualcomm’s first chief diversity officer in November 2016. In this role, she brings nearly twenty years of business and operational leadership experience at Qualcomm which uniquely position her to provide the vision, strategy, leadership and oversight of inclusion and diversity initiatives across the company such as strategies for talent development, recruitment and retention, and community outreach. Mealer-Burke recently assumed responsibility for Qualcomm’s employee relations team. Prior to this appointment, she was the VP and general manager of Qualcomm Education Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Technologies Inc. Mealer-Burke joined Qualcomm in 1997, and during her tenure, she has been responsible for developing comprehensive solutions for customers seeking to bring high-value wireless services to market. Additionally, she is the chairperson of Qualcomm’s Women’s Leadership Council, the executive sponsor of eQuality, Qualcomm’s LGBTQ employee network. She is the senior representative for Qualcomm’s partnership participation in the USBLN Going for Gold Campaign. She has recently joined the board of directors for both NCWIT (National Center for Women in Information Technology) and the ERTSC (Employment Roundtable of Southern California). Mealer-Burke earned a BS in management information systems from Iowa State University and a MS from Ohio State University. @qualcomm
