VICKI MEALER-BURKE is chief diversity officer and VP of human resources with Qualcomm. She was appointed as the company’s first CDO in November 2016, and brought twenty years of business and operational leadership experience to the role.  Mealer-Burke assumed responsibility for Qualcomm’s employee relations team in late 2017. In this role, she has oversight to ensure that Qualcomm is dedicated to creating and sustaining a positive work environment by helping to resolve work-related challenges. She serves on Qualcomm’s ethics committee. In late 2018, she added Qualcomm’s talent management team to her leadership oversight, which includes employee development and performance management. Additionally, Mealer-Burke is the chairperson of Qualcomm’s Women’s Leadership Council, the executive sponsor of eQuality, Qualcomm’s LGBTQ employee network. She is the senior representative for Qualcomm’s partnership with Disability:In’s initiative to further disability inclusion in the workforce. She currently serves on two non-profit board of directors, including NCWIT, the National Center for Women in Information Technology, and ERTSC, the Employment Roundtable of Southern California. In January 2019, she will be starting a new board service with LEAD San Diego. Mealer-Burke earned a BA in management information systems from Iowa State University, and an MS from Ohio State University. @qualcomm
