Rachel Herrick Kassabian

RACHEL HERRICK KASSABIAN is an intellectual property litigator at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, a leading AmLaw 100 litigation-only law firm with twenty one offices around the world.  She has been with the firm for more than sixteen years, and currently serves as chair of the firm’s internet litigation practice.  In that role she represents clients in a wide range of intellectual property and commercial litigation matters, with a special focus on Internet technology, Internet sector businesses and startups. In particular, over the past decade Kassabian has successfully defended various service providers asserting safe harbor under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and has developed special expertise in trade secret litigation and counseling. Her representative clients include Google, Pinterest, Samsung, Vimeo, Yandex and Zynga. In addition to her litigation work, Kassabian regularly advises startups and other tech clients, big and small, on intellectual property issues and best practices, to help them minimize and manage litigation risk while they grow their businesses. Kassabian earned a JD from Harvard Law School, and a BA from UCLA.
