JOHN DANNER teaches courses on innovation, strategy and venture development at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and School of Information, as well as Princeton University. He consults widely for senior executives in a variety of organizational settings, and is a frequent speaker on innovation and leadership at conferences and seminars around the world, as well as anchoring various executive education programs for companies and universities. He is the co-author of “The Other ‘F’ Word: How Smart Leaders, Teams, and Entrepreneurs Put Failure to Work,” published in 2015 as a lead title by John Wiley & Sons. He is now finishing a new book with a Princeton colleague on the personality characteristics of highly successful business founders. His articles and interviews have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Financial Times, Entrepreneur, Chief Executive and other media channels. For those of you who are fans of TED, he’s also the guy who came up with the idea for TED U[niversity], and has appeared on both TEDGlobal and TEDx stages. He earned his J.D., M.P.H. and MA.Ed. from UC Berkeley, and his B.A. from Harvard. @dannerjd
