Rami Rahim

RAMI RAHIM is chief executive officer of Juniper Networks and a member of the company’s board of directors. A rarity in the industry, he has risen from an early employee to CEO. In 1997, Rahim started as an engineer on the company’s first breakthrough product, the M40 core router, and is now in his third year leading the multibillion-dollar company. Prior to being appointed as CEO, Rahim progressed through a series of technical and leadership roles at Juniper, applying his engineering acumen to the design, and development of Juniper’s industry-leading product portfolio. He served as executive vice president and general manager of the Juniper Engineering and Innovation organization, overseeing the company’s entire product and technology portfolio, driving strategy, development, and business growth for routing, switching, security, silicon technology, and the Junos operating system. He completed an intensive six-week executive program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, holds 17 U.S. patents in networking technologies, and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Rahim earned a BAS in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto and MS in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
