Alice Boyes

DR. ALICE BOYES was a clinical psychologist in New Zealand before turning to writing. Her PhD research was published in the world’s premier social psychology journal, The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. She’s the author of two books – The Anxiety Toolkit and The Healthy Mind Toolkit, with the former being a WSJ bestseller. She regularly blogs for Psychology Today, where her articles have over 17 million views, and for Harvard Business Review. Her articles take on perennially popular topics like how to prioritize the important over the urgent, but she approaches these topics from a perspective that is rooted in the science of emotions and in research on the links between thinking and behavior. This allows her to provide explanations and tips that are far more sophisticated and insightful than typical pop psychology. Boyes’ background in emotional health, relationships research, and cognitive-behavioral science has lead to a unique perspective on productivity, business and finance topics, that registers as very fresh to readers, especially in a climate in which many people struggle to manage their workload and stress, and to balance their roles and responsibilities.
