Morra Aarons-Mele

MORRA AARONS-MELE is the founder of award winning social impact agency Women Online and The Mission List, a social change influencer database. She is an Internet marketer who has been working with women online since 1999, when she helped Hillary Clinton log on for her first Internet chat. Aarons-Mele has launched online campaigns for President Obama, Malala Yousafzai, Planned Parenthood, the United Nations Foundation, Hillary Clinton for President, and many other leading figures and organizations. She is the author of Hiding in the Bathroom: A Roadmap to Getting Out There (When You’d Rather Stay Home) published by HarperCollins. She is also the host of the popular podcast Hiding in the Bathroom. Aarons-Mele’s internet experience spans politics and the private sector. During the 2004 Presidential election, she was the director of internet marketing for the Democratic National Committee. After the 2004 election she founded Edelman’s digital public affairs team where she worked with Fortune 50 clients. Aarons-Mele was founding political director for BlogHer.com, and has written for the Harvard Business Review, FastCompany, O the Oprah Magazine, Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and The Guardian.
