Marissa L. Song

MARISSA L. SONG joined Gilead in 2006 and is responsible for corporate governance, corporate finance and SEC reporting.  She also supports the human resources group with executive compensation matters and the finance group, including with public debt offerings and other large transactions.  Song helps maintains Gilead’s key corporate policies and leads its stockholder engagement efforts.  In 2016, she co-founded the LGBT Alliance, one of the three employee resource groups at Gilead.  Prior to joining Gilead, Song was a corporate associate, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, at Latham & Watkins LLP, Los Angeles.  She earned a B.S. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of Southern California.  She currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the Parents Club of Palo Alto and Menlo Park. @gileadsciences
