Patricia A. McDonald

PATRICIA A. McDONALD is vice president of human resources and director of the Intel talent organization at Intel Corporation. She leads a global organization aiming to make Intel’s diverse talent a major strategic advantage. Since joining Intel in 1986, McDonald has held a wide range of engineering, manufacturing and management positions, including plant manager of Fab 20. As director of the ATMx organization, she led a mission-based team that collaborated with ATM factory partners to achieve new levels of affordability, efficiency and profitability. During her time in manufacturing, she was recognized with an Intel Quality award for P860 Virtual Factory efforts. McDonald also pioneered Intel’s healthcare marketplace collaborative, an alliance of Portland, OR health care providers, a health plan and the Virginia Mason Institute. Long a champion of diversity at Intel, McDonald is Intel’s executive sponsor for the Women at Intel Network (WIN). Her commitments to collaboration, leadership and diversity have made McDonald a visible public speaker at industry conferences, universities, hospitals and across Intel, and she has been in media such as USA Today, AP, Bloomberg and featured as “The Big Idea” in Harvard Business Review magazine. McDonald earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from Oregon State University. @intel
