Julie Bornstein

JULIE BORNSTEIN is a pioneer in e-commerce and marketing. She has built and led e-commerce for three leading Omni-channel retailers: Sephora, Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom, helping each organization to realize the full value of a robust and integrated e-commerce channel while improving each company’s P&L. Currently, she serves as the chief marketing officer and chief digital officer at Sephora, the fastest growing retailer in Beauty. In her seven years at Sephora, she has quadrupled its E-commerce business, launched the industry leading loyalty program, driven Sephora leadership in social media and mobile, led innovation in Sephora’s in store digital experiences, including ColorIQ and ApplePay, and integrated the company’s digital and traditional marketing and creative teams. Prior to Sephora, she served as the GM of e-commerce and catalog business for Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom, where she grew Nordstrom.com from $10M to $350M, establishing Nordstrom as a leader in fashion e-commerce. Bornstein’s background prior to e-commerce included business development at Starbucks, investment banking at Robertson Stephens and merchandising at Donna Karan. Bornstein currently sits on the boards of Stitchfix, a fashion start up in San Francisco, and Charlotte Russe. Bornstein earned a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Harvard. @juliebornstein
